Barber Will Serve Two Decades in Prison for 2025 Murder

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 34-year-old barber will serve two decades in prison for murder. Philip Martin received the sentence in a plea deal after he pleaded guilty to the January 24, 2025 murder of Gibson Desir. The 39-year-old was outside of Gordo’s Liquor Store on Cowpen Road when Martin shot him four times. Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns told Martin that he would have gotten much more time if he had been sentenced after a trial.
