Headlining the team is 60m hurdles world record holder Devynne Charlton, who is chasing history and looking to add to an already stacked résumé. She looks to become the first woman ever with a third straight World Indoor title in the event. She’ll be joined by Denisha Cartwright and Charisma Taylor in the event, with Taylor also competing in the triple jump. On the men’s side, Kendrick Thompson will contest the heptathlon, while Tajh Brown lines up in the 60m hurdles. The three-day meet will feature over 600 athletes from more than 100 countries, including Olympic and world champions. Competition begins Friday with Thompson, Brown is in the men’s 60m hurdles, and Taylor takes on the triple jump on Saturday. Finally, the 60m hurdles trio will be the major headliner in the finale on Sunday. Basketball Domnick Bridgewater has been dominant in France’s NM1 league, not only leading in several statistical categories, but also leading his club on a late-season playoff push. His recent run pushed him to the top of the league in scoring at 20.3 points per game and in steals at 2.6 per game. Last night he finished with a season-high 34 points and four steals for his Fos-sur-Mer Byers in their 91–76 win over Les Sables. Prior to that, he had 26 points in an 87–70 win over Fougères, 18 points and four steals in a narrow 74–73 win over Tarbes-Lourdes, and 25 points with three steals in a 96–88 loss to Le Havre. Alongside Kino Burrows, the Raw Talent organization connection has led the Byers to a 20–9 record, fourth place in the league. Burrows has provided a veteran presence for the Byers’ late-season push in his third stint with the club. In 11 games, he’s averaging 10.6 points on 64 percent shooting from the field, with 4.5 rebounds per game. The duo looks to keep that recent momentum going this weekend against Toulouse.
