In Havana, commuters struggled Friday as buses were pulled from service. The Granma National Bus Base has suspended interprovincial service in several regions. At the University of Havana, classes have shifted to a hybrid model because of fuel shortages and power deficits, Reuters reports. The shortage follows stepped-up United States efforts to block oil shipments to Cuba, which the government says are deepening the crisis.
