The finale of the festival’s signature events, attracted hundreds of attendees looking for the finest Caribbean flavors. The signature event, showcased grilling methods, live cooking demonstrations, beers, wines, and cocktails, was hosted by celebrity chef, Antonia Lofaso, along with award-winning chef and owner of field-trip restaurants, JJ Johnson. JJ Johnson – Award-Winning Chef “Chef JJ what are you doing behind the grill tonight? I’m making this beautiful jerk shrimp we marinate for two days in our house made jerk sauce. We are charing it on the grill and then we throw it back into a little bit of jerk barbecue.” Over twenty vendors utilized a similar technique of tenderizing their meat with the flavors of the Caribbean. Serving irresistible plates for the hundreds of attendees and other chefs to overindulge.
