Man Behind Bars for Incest After Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Niece

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Nassau man is behind bars on an incest charge after prosecutors say he sexually assaulted his 36-year-old niece. The charge concerns an incident that allegedly occurred on March 16. The 52-year-old man’s name has been withheld to conceal the identity of his alleged victim. He was not required to enter a plea when he stood before Magistrate Abigail Farrington. Bail was denied and the matter is expected to be fast-tracked to the Supreme Court on June 22 with the presentation of voluntary bill of indictment papers.
